Students celebrate GCSE Success

Wolverhampton Girls’ High School is celebrating its Year 11 students’ achievements, following the publication of GCSE results today.


The results achieved by Wolverhampton Girls are a testament to the students’ resilience, hard work and the support provided by staff, parents, carers, and each other.


The School was pleased to see so many top grades across many subjects including humanities, languages, creative subjects, and Mathematics. Results in Biology, Chemistry and Physics were also exceptional.


The majority of students shall be progressing to study A-Levels in their chosen subjects at Wolverhampton Girls’ High School and the School look forward to supporting them further over the next two years.


While all students have achieved strong results, there were some exceptional student achievements.


These include six students who each achieved nine or more grade 9 results including:

  • Diya Agarwal

  • Annika Arumugam

  • Ibukunoluwa Awe

  • Maya Patel

  • Riya Shanbhag

Special recognition and congratulations goes to the following students:


  • Sienna Sahota who is the top performing student in the country in GCSE English Language.

  • Aman Dhaliwal, who sat GCSE's in Mathematics and Further Mathematics whilst in Year 8, achieving a grade 9 and 8 respectively.

“Congratulations to our Year 11 students. We are so proud of each and every one of you. You have worked incredibly hard and achieved fantastic results. Indeed, these examination results represent significant increases in the number of students attaining the top grades.


“Well done! We wish each of you the very best for the next stage in your education.”
