Community
Wolverhampton Girls’ High School prides itself on being a close knit family community.
Our girls care deeply for each other, with strong bonds forming within and between year groups. Year after year our students talk about the family atmosphere of Wolverhampton Girls’ High School and the support that they enjoy from all members of the school community.
A community grounded in the values of cooperation, care, and courtesy; mutual respect is in abundance. Regular support from Form Tutors and peers ensures for a happy environment.

The pastoral system allows students to realise their full academic potential whilst developing their social and personal qualities. This is achieved through a well established structure of academic teaching and individual support and guidance. We aim to ensure that students leave as independent, confident and well-rounded young women.
Throughout their time at Wolverhampton Girls’ High School, students are supported and mentored by their Form Tutor, forming a strong working relationship. The Tutors in turn are supported by the Pastoral Leaders. As well as the support given by the pastoral staff, WGHS is keen to make sure that students have access to additional personal support should they require it via the School Counsellor, Education Psychologist or the School Nurse during her weekly visit to the school.
